Hunt Real Estate Capital announced today that Brian Adams has joined the firm as Director. In this role, Adams will focus on originating Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac conventional and small balance multifamily loans nationwide. He will operate out of the firm’s Dallas, Texas office and will report to Charlie Cole, Director at Hunt Real Estate Capital.

Hunt Real Estate Capital provides multifamily and commercial real estate loans nationwide. The firm’s Small Balance Team offers streamlined multifamily financing from $1 million to $7.5 million and was recently named a Top 3 Fannie Mae Small Loan lender. Hunt Real Estate capital works with direct borrowers and a network of brokers to provide clients with the best financing possible.

“We continue to see exceptionally strong demand for the middle-market multifamily sector, both from renters seeking safe, quality, and affordable housing, as well as owner-operators looking for an attractive risk-return profile at this point in the cycle,” said Rick Warren, Senior Managing Director and Head of Small Balance Production at Hunt Real Estate Capital. “Brian will play a pivotal role in structuring fast, flexible loan solutions for borrowers during a period of high competition.”

Prior to joining Hunt Real Estate Capital, Adams worked as First Vice President, Capital Markets at Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC) specializing in multifamily debt and equity placement. He joined MMCC in January 2011 and has been involved in the origination and closing of over $1 billion of real estate financings.

“Brian brings more than 15 years of commercial real estate finance experience to his new role at Hunt,” noted Cole. “The small balance loan market continues to be ripe with opportunity, and Hunt has assembled a strong team of originators and underwriters known for fast turnaround and outstanding customer service.”

Prior to joining MMCC, Adams was a loan acquisitions team leader with Beal Bank, and an originator and real estate analyst with Bridger Commercial Funding. He began his career with Guaranty Bank in Dallas, performing asset management for the bank’s commercial real estate construction loan portfolio.

Adams received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma.
