James J. Henson is in the 38th year of his career in finance and the law. Jim is a member of the Executive Committee of Lument and serves as the general counsel and a senior managing director of Lument, all positions he held at predecessors RED Capital Group and ORIX Real Estate Capital. Jim returned to RED in 2015, having served in the same capacities at RED from 2010 to 2013. He also served on the board of managers of RED’s parent holding company from 2010 to 2015.
Prior to that, Jim was principal and general counsel of Stonehenge Financial Holdings, Inc., a merchant banking, private equity investing, and asset management firm he co-founded in 1999. From 1989 to 1999 Jim was vice chairman and general counsel of Banc One Capital Holdings Corporation. Before that, he was a partner at Meuse, Rinker, Chapman, Endres and Brooks, where he served as corporate counsel and investment banker.
Jim is registered as a general securities principal and a municipal securities principal.
