Ryan Norwood is a managing director on Lument’s real estate capital markets team. Working out of Portland Oregon, he is responsible for the review, origination, and structuring of subordinated assets on all major product types with an emphasis on preferred equity and mezzanine loans, as well as non-agency, multifamily bridge loans.
He has over 15 years of experience in the financial and commercial real estate industries, previously serving as principal and senior vice president at Morrison Street Capital (MSC), where he opened and managed the New York City office. Ryan was instrumental in building the mezzanine debt platform at MSC, sourcing and closing over 30 separate investments totaling more than $200 million of invested capital for the funds. His previous experience includes underwriting and structuring equity and debt for new LIHTC multifamily developments at Enterprise Community Investment.
Ryan began his career in the U.S. Army, where he was a Ranger-qualified Captain and served in Iraq. He received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Santa Clara University. Ryan is a CFA charterholder and member of the CFA societies of New York and Portland, Oregon.
