Brooks Steele is an associate director in conventional multifamily production at Lument. He joined Lument in July 2023 after spending four years as a director at Greystone, where he originated agency and bridge loans on a national basis.
In his day-to-day role at Lument, Brooks works closely with new and existing multifamily clients around the country to make sure their financing goals are met on time.
He and his team size the best available debt products for clients through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and HUD, while ensuring that key information flows quickly and smoothly during the loan closing and underwriting processes.
Prior to joining Greystone, Brooks worked as a production associate at Sabal Capital Partners and as a client associate, underwriting associate, and credit analyst at JP Morgan Chase, where he focused on commercial real estate debt deals. At JP Morgan, Brooks underwrote more than $2 billion in CRE loans and managed a portfolio of more than $1.2 billion across the multifamily, office, retail, and industrial sectors.
Brooks earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Texas at Austin in 2014.
