In a podcast recorded during this year’s NIC Fall Conference, Lument’s Laca Wong-Hammond, managing director and head of mergers and acquisitions, and Brandon Gill, associate director for seniors housing and healthcare in the Midwest, sat down with McKnight’s Kim Marselas to share insights on how to work around lingering COVID-19 challenges, seize opportunity, and find the right buyer.

Wong-Hammond provided advice from the sell-side perspective, noting that it’s best to sell when you don’t need to, and offered several reasons why now is a great time to divest. From the debt perspective, Gill touted the benefits of being patient and pursuing long-term financing via a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)/Federal Housing Administration (FHA) program.
