Derek DeHay is a managing director on the affordable housing investment sales team at Lument and works out of Austin, Texas. He is responsible for all aspects of proposals, listings, and project assignments.
Prior to joining Lument, Derek worked as a director with Newmark Knight Frank’s Affordable Housing Group since 2019 and has been involved in the valuation and disposition of over $3 billion of affordable housing properties across the country.
Before Newmark Knight Frank, Derek worked for a private multihousing investment group participating in the acquisition and redevelopment of distressed assets in the Southeast. In this position, he received a general contractor’s license in multiple states and renovated over 2,000 units.
Previously, he also worked as a financial analyst for a LIHTC investment and asset management firm providing investment management to corporate limited partners that were invested in LIHTC’s.
Derek graduated from the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University with a BBA in finance and real estate, and he is also a CCIM candidate.
