Charlsey Smith is an associate director of originations at Lument, working out of the firm’s Denver, Colorado office. She is responsible for the origination and structuring of mortgage loans across affordable and market-rate multifamily properties nationwide, with a focus on delivering tailored financing solutions through Lument’s agency and affordable housing lending platforms.
Charlsey has more than six years of commercial real estate experience. She joined the Lument legacy firm Hunt Real Estate Capital in 2019 as part of the underwriting team, where she supported the underwriting and execution of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans. Throughout her career she has continually developed her expertise, particularly in credit analysis and transaction execution. She transitioned to the originations team in January 2026.
Charlsey earned a bachelor’s degree in finance with an emphasis in real estate from Texas Christian University.
