New York, NY — December 16, 2022 — Lument announced today that it has been ranked the top U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)/Federal Housing Administration (FHA) lender in the U.S. by loan count for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2022. Lument led the field in total MAP (multifamily) and Lean (seniors) closings, with 174 closed transactions totaling over $2.5 billion. Of the 174 closed transactions, 112 were direct originations.

Lument was also the number one ranked MAP lender for loans closed as well as total volume, with 162 loans closed totaling over $2.3 billion.

“Even with the economic volatility of the past fiscal year, the FHA financing program has remained crucial to our clients,” said Lument CEO James Flynn. “While the industry saw lower volumes across the board, Lument’s strong showing in closed loans demonstrates the strength of our partnership with HUD and how effective its lending programs remain—even in challenging times.”

Lument, a national leader in financing multifamily and seniors housing and healthcare, ranked second for total MAP and Lean loans by dollar volume. In addition, the firm came in third by dollar volume and loan count for low-income housing tax credit transactions, with 26 loans closed at a volume of more than $352 million. Lument closed the most transactions in New York, Ohio, West Virginia, and Arizona.
