With new rankings of the top 150 seniors housing organizations and more than 60,000 data points, the 2025 Largest Providers Report gives a unique picture of an industry serving millions of older adults and employing more than 1.6 million workers.
In the publication’s introduction, Lument’s Head of Seniors Housing and Healthcare Production Aaron Becker sets the scene and provides context for this year’s findings. Becker acknowledges the macro challenges persistently hovering overhead but remains encouraged by our industry’s ability to overcome obstacles and continue to evolve seniors housing for a new generation of retirees.
“With strong demand expected to grow further in the years ahead, now is the time for owners and operators to examine how to best position their communities for long-term success,” he noted. “From value-add acquisitions to investing in active adult, there are ample opportunities for the forward-thinking operator despite today’s market challenges.”

Spotlight on Women Trailblazers
This year’s publication also includes a section dedicated to women leaders in the senior living industry. Argentum received over 1,001 responses to its call for submissions for this feature, a powerful response that demonstrates the momentum behind gender equity and the passion to keep that momentum going.
Lument’s Head of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) Laca Wong-Hammond contributed a guest column on the topic, focusing on three key strategies that can make an enormous impact.
- Select strong mentors to assist you on your journey. Having generous mentors who value your strengths and are vocal about your advancement can be extremely beneficial.
- Find your own seat at the table. If you see an opportunity, jump on it. If you don’t see any, keep looking.
- Advocate for yourself. And remember, never be afraid to ask for what you deserve.
